Policies relating to the management of information
There are many policies that control how information is managed within the Isle of Wight Council.
The
Access to Information Policy describes how the Council manages the rights of access under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, Environmental Information Regulations and Data Protection Act.
The
Retention Schedule provides rules for the retention and destruction of council records. It also provides guidance for staff with respect to the effective management of information.
The
Data Protection Policy describes how the Council manages personal information.
The
Protective Marking Policy describes how the Council manages the security of sensitive information.
