Fire & Rescue Service
The IW Fire & Rescue service respond to all emergency calls from the public or commerce though the 999 call system. The fire control room based at Newport fire station deal with the call within a few seconds & dispatch sufficient fire appliances to the address within national guidelines of attendance time laid down by the Home office. The brigade are proud of its high percentage of attendance against this standard & will deal with persons in need efficiently, sympathetically & professionally at all times. The Brigade deal with over 2000 calls per year & can be contacted in the following way.
