Energy Initiatives

Warmer Wight

Warmer Wight is a project that is funded up to 31st March 2013 and is being delivered by The Footprint Trust. Following a home visit, households that are struggling with their fuel bills may be offered a package of improvements – such as heating or insulation upgrades - to improve the energy efficiency of their home.

The Footprint Trust delivers a number of other projects which seek to ensure that those people and households that are most vulnerable on the Island are able to save money on their fuel bills and save energy too.

Their initiatives include:

  • Warmahome scheme – free home assessments, giving energy saving guidance on boilers, windows and insulation and information on ways to reduce energy bills
  • Cash low, Cash flow – highlighting the grants and benefits available to help pay for fuel debts
