Big Wight Switch

Collective energy switching is being launched on the Isle of Wight and will enable Island residents to join together to save money on their fuel bills. This is being made possible through funding secured by the Isle of Wight Council.

During February and March 2013, Community Action Isle of Wight is uniting householders through the Big Wight Switch.  The idea is simple, by joining together a lower price can be negotiated with energy suppliers.

All you have to do is register your interest either online via the Big Wight Switch website www.bigwightswitch.co.uk or by phoning 01983 539371. Big Wight Switch will then approach energy companies, get the best deal they can, offer it to you and you can decide whether to switch.  The Big Wight Switch is free to join and you are under no obligation to take up the offer.

It doesn’t matter whether you pay by direct debit, prepayment or upon receipt of your bill – everyone who buys gas or electricity has the opportunity to take part.

This new and collaborative project aims to benefit everyone living on the Island but those who have never switched energy suppliers before may have the most to gain.
