All emergency fire '999' call handling has been transferred to Surrey Fire and Rescue Service.

The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service will maintain a non-emergency number (01983) 525121 for general enquiries, including controlled burning, which will be answered during working hours 08.30 - 17.00 Monday to Thursday and 08.30 to 16.30 on Friday.  For controlled burning outside of working hours only please call 01737 224060. 

Flares should be handed into Newport Police Station who have the facilities for storing them.  If flares are washed up on the beach, please inform the Coastguard on 02392 552100 or click here for the HM Coastguard website.
