The caravan is designed to offer families a short break and the opportunity for lots of fun at a fantastic holiday park at Lower Hyde, Shanklin. Close to the beach and town centre, transport links and local entertainment.
The caravan is large and wheelchair accessible. It can sleep up to six people, with two bedrooms and extra sleeping for two in the lounge area. There is hard standing parking available directly outside the caravan for sole use of the visitors. There are also leisure passes included in the cost (park is open from March until October)

Now children and young people who live on the Isle of Wight and who use wheelchairs can also enjoy a day at the beach, park, going where no conventional wheelchair has gone before, with the innovative Landeez all-terrain wheelchair.
The Landeez is a revolutionary wheelchair designed especially for outdoor use. It was developed specifically to enable people with disabilities to come in to closer contact with nature.
Thanks to the marine-grade stainless steel frame, tough anti-absorbent seating, and all-terrain wheel these chairs are great for ‘off-tarmac’ activities.
Through funding from Aiming High for disabled children, the Isle of Wight Council is delighted to make these wheelchairs available for use to aid inclusion on schools trips and group outings. They can also be hired on an individual basis, for a morning or an afternoon free of charge, with refundable deposit.
There are three wheelchairs available to hire out and these are situated at the following sites:
Deposit £25, these wheelchairs can be hired up to one day per family, per week.
We have purchased six hoists within the Children and Young Adults Disability Service, five are currently with short break providers, making these provisions activities more accessible to wheelchair users.
The other hoist is kept at council offices enabling families to borrow it on a short term basis. A deposit will be required for this service.
