If you need financial help to go into a residential care or nursing home, the council will discuss with you the most suitable type of care and help you choose a place in a home.
The council will pay the home’s fees up to the maximum price agreed and we will then work out how much you can afford to contribute towards this, using Department of Health guidelines.
A council financial assessment officer will contact you to complete this financial assessment.
