Your FAQ

Question: The Islander Card provided a concession for a severely disabled person who could not travel without assistance to be accompanied by a travelling companion. What arrangements exist now that the English National bus pass has been introduced?

Answer: Whilst the English National bus pass does not provide for this, the Isle of Wight Council has decided to continue the concession for Island residents making journeys on the Island. A new pass, the ‘New Islander Card’, will be issued for use in conjunction with the English National pass and application forms are available at Council Help Centres and Libraries.
