Service Description: In accordance with the Gaming Act 1967 and the Lotteries and Amusement Act 1976 any prospective occupiers of amusement parks, arcades and other premises where gaming machines or amusements with prizes will be provided, must first obtain a permit issued by the local authority. The precise permit required depends on the maximum prize value.

Answer: A licence lasts for a maximum of three years, and expires on 31st December. The fee is set nationally and is currently £32.00. The fee payable for an 'all cash' (£25) machine is £250.00.
