Service Description: Parking Services deal with parking enforcement issues over the Island including pay and display locations and on street parking contraventions. Priority areas are usually those where illegally parked vehicles cause safety issues, congestion and also slow down other road users. Parking services also deal with a variety of parking permits for various schemes over the Island.

Answer: Yaverland Gates used to be locked and unlocked by the Councils cleaning contractors. The contract recently expired and it was decided that the locking/unlocking would not be put into the new contract and as such, the car park will remain open 24 hours.
