Service Description: The Structures Section is responsible for the inspection of all highway bridges and retaining walls, the design and project management of structures maintenance works and the construction / improvements of highway bridges and retaining walls”

Your FAQ

Question: How often are bridges inspected?

Answer: All structures have a General inspection and a Principal inspection. The General inspection occurs every 2 years and the Principal is every 6 years.
The reports from these inspections influence any remedial works that may need to take place.
