Exclusions

Service Description: All schools should have a written policy setting out the standards of behaviour it expects. The policy should outline what the school will do if a pupil’s behaviour falls below these standards. Schools may use exclusion as a way of managing the behaviour of pupils. It is also used as a way of giving clear messages to the pupil involved and the whole school community, that certain kinds of behaviour are unacceptable. There are two types of exclusion from school: A fixed period of exclusion A permanent exclusion For further information and guidance on exclusions please click the link above.

Also known as:- Exclusion Appeal Panel, SENDIST Appeals
