Answer: If a baby is stillborn after the 24th week of pregnancy you will be given a Medical Certificate of Stillbirth signed by the doctor or midwife which you should give to the registrar. However it is advised that you contact a Registrar who will be able to answer any questions you may have about registering a still birth and will give you further details about registering a still birth. The Isle of Wight Register Office can attend at your home address to register a still birth.
