Service Description: Winter Maintenance is an important part of the work of the Highways Team and involves the clearance of roads affected by snow, ice and drainage problems to provide as safe a passage as possible for users of the highway.

Answer: No, the Council does not have any salt available to sell. The gritting works is contracted out and therefore, the salt is owned by the contractor. You can however, buy salt from places such as the Builders Centre. We are also unable to supply grit bins in any locations.
