Your FAQ

Question: Do the Children’s Services Speech and Language Therapy Team support all children who have speech, language and communication difficulties?

Answer: No, there will be many pupils who have significant speech, language and communication needs who would benefit from speech and language therapy support, but whose speech and language needs are associated with other areas of difficulty. These pupils are supported by the NHS Speech and Language Therapy Service e.g. hearing impairment, global learning difficulties, cleft palate syndrome and any eating and drinking difficulties. The NHS SLT Service also supports pre-school children and will continue to support those children whose needs are ongoing through school entry. - Related Link
