Service Description: Licences for horse riding schools where horses are hired out or lessons given for payment, horse and pony trekking.

Question: I provide horse-riding lessons. Do I need a licence?

Answer: If you are providing horse-riding lessons or hiring out horses for riding in return for payment, you will require a licence under the Riding Establishments Acts 1964 and 1970. For further information or an application form contact the Licensing Section on 823159. (Application forms will also shortly be available to download).
