Service Description: If you miss an instalment on your Business Rates you will receive a reminder notice giving you seven days to bring your payments up to date. If you do not pay within this time, or if after a second reminder you fall behind with your payments again, you will be asked to pay the full outstanding balance of your Business Rates bill.
Answer: Two reminders have already been issued in a tax year and further instalments have not been paid or your account has ceased and the final payment has not been made. The right to pay by instalments has been lost and the full amount is now due. To avoid an issue of a summons the amount on the final notice must be paid within seven days.
