Fostering


Service Description: Fostering is substitute family care for children and young people who, for a variety of reasons, are unable to live with their own families. Services available via the Fostering Service are Long Term Fostering, Short Term Fostering, Respite Care, Day Care Providers, Family Link and Combined Accomodation Scheme (CAS). The service currently consists of 3 Units and a Fostering Duty Worker.

Question: I want to train and work in childcare, where can I find out more?

Answer: There are many different types of childcare settings, to aid you in your choice we invite you to attend a 'Making Choices' session which will provide you with an insight into working with a range of ages and settings. Information on training course and support is also available.
