Service Description: The aim of work experience is to give students an insight into the world of work. The student should experience a variety of activities during their placement and begin to understand the role of an employee and how companies and institutions function. The scheme is administered jointly by school staff and officers of the Isle of Wight Council.

Answer: A student involved in an accident in the workplace will be treated as a trainee employee for the purposes of reporting to the enforcement authority.
