Your FAQ

Question: I don't want the use the Isle of Wight Councils garden waste collection service, how else can I dispose of garden waste?

Answer: You are not obliged to use the IOWC’s garden waste collection service. You have a number of options:
1. Get someone other than the Isle of Wight Council to collect your garden waste. They will also charge.
2. Take the waste to the household waste recycling centres where it can be disposed of for free and will be recycled.
3. Compost at home using one of the cheap (because they are subsidised) home composters, for more information call Recyle Now on 0845 077 0757. This is
environmentally the best option.
