Service Description: The Service provides educational advice and support for sensory impaired children and their families and ongoing professional development and training for staff. The Service also provides specialist equipment to facilitate effective communication and links with other relevant agencies.

Answer: Once a child has been identified as having a significant sensory impairment the Services, in liaison with the home and school, will identify a level of support appropriate to the child’s needs, ranging from daily support to annual monitoring. A Service Agreement will be drawn up and reviewed regularly.
