Your FAQ

Question: Can I apply for help towards the cost of buying an instrument?

Answer: Through the IW Music Service Musical Instrument Assisted Purchase Scheme, pupils receiving tuition at LEA schools are able to purchase instruments free of VAT. To qualify for this scheme pupils must be studying the instrument in school as part of the national curriculum course (music) and use the instrument in school during normal school hours at least once a week. Enquiries/applications, in the first instance, should be made via the instrumental teacher at school. Alternatively, general information can be obtained from the Music Service office on 556865.
