Your FAQ

Question: How do I request information from the Council under the Freedom of Information Act?

Answer: A request must be made in writing (email or letter) or a form is available on the web-site www.iwight.com/foia. The Council Call Centre Operators will happily fill out an online form for you, please call 821000. The information will be provided promptly, at least within 20 working days. Most information is available free of charge, however, if there is a charge for the information we will notify you at the earliest opportunity – you then have three months to respond with payment before the request becomes void. If we are unable to provide the information, due to an exemption applying, we will notify of the reason behind the decision. - Related Link
