Your FAQ

Question: How can I register a birth if the baby was born on the mainland but I am now back living on the Island?

Answer: You can go to the Isle of Wight Register Office and register your baby 'By Declaration'. The details you give to the Registrar will be forwarded to the office in the area where you baby was born, including a cheque for £4:00 for each full birth certificate required. The receiving Register Office will then register the birth and send out the relevant paperwork direct to you.
