Service Description: The service is committed to providing customer education to all Island residents. We do this by: - talks to Island organisations - displays - visiting schools - articles in the local newspapers and on radio - producing information leaflets Confidence and awareness allows consumers to make informed choices when buying goods and services.

Question: What are my rights when buying Goods or Services?

Answer: If you have a specific query about a recent purchase or you are planning to buy goods or services you can obtain advice over the telephone from the Citizens' Advice Bureau on 08454 04 05 06.

If you feel that you would like face to face advice you can call in person at the Trading Standards Service at Jubilee Stores on the Quay at Newport and you should take all relevant documents/information with you. Please note that a duty officer is only available on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

If you feel that you would like face to face assistance but are unable to visit the Trading Standards Office, please give us your contact details, and a Trading Standards Officer will contact you and make arrangements to see you, possibly at your home. Telephone 01983 823396
