Service Description: Looked After Children's Team - To provide support to young people who are looked after by the local authority and who have a current allocated social worker from one of the 6 Looked After Children's Units

Answer: You have a right to good health care. You will continue to have regular checks with a dentist, optician and any other health workers that you would usually see. Your carer/s and social worker will be making sure this happens. When you first become looked after you will also be offered a health assessment. Either a nurse or doctor will check your health and answer any questions you may have. If you stay looked after for a long time you will have a health assessment once a year.
