Service Description: The Isle of Wight Council Highways Department at Engineering Services are responsible for notifying members of the public of temporary traffic management such as road closures, diversions, lane closures, temporary traffic lights and possible traffic disruption as a result of road works that are underway or programmed to take place on the Island.

Answer: Minor Works are areas of engineering where the work(s) undertaken is carried out on a day–to–day basis, and are relatively small schemes covering the following areas: Kerbing, Footways, Drainage and Patching (potholes).
