Answer: Waste arising from any construction or demolition work at a property (including from a domestic property) is classified in law as Industrial Waste and therefore it cannot be accepted at Household Waste Recycling Centres. HOWEVER, the Council accepts that from time to time householders will carry out home improvements, which may result in reasonable quantities of this type of waste being generated. Therefore limited amounts of construction and demolition waste will be accepted at Lynnbottom from householders as follows: RUBBLE & HARDCORE - The equivalent of up to 6 x 60litre bags (a standard compost bag size) can be deposited 6 times a year. This waste may include stones, bricks, concrete, tarmac, paving slabs, slates, tiles, and soil. All waste must be from a domestic source, trade waste is not permitted at the site. In order to ensure these limits are adhered to the following procedures will take place when you arrive on site: •Your vehicle registration number, name, address and a description of the waste you have deposited will be recorded and kept on a database. Any users of the site found to have exceeded the permitted quantities of waste will be invoiced for £100 to recover costs.
