Your FAQ

Question: CANVASS: Holiday Homes - I have received an Annual Voter Registration form at my second (holiday) home. What should I do with it?

Answer: If you personally use your holiday home as a "residence" (ie you use it yourself for part of the year), then you and anyone else who uses it as a "residence" can register. You will then be registered both here and on the mainland - this is NOT illegal, and you may vote in both areas in Local Elections, but only in one area in Parliamentary or European elections.
Even if you choose not to register, please send the form back, with the box in section 3 ticked to indicate why no one should be registered - by sending the form back you will save us the cost, and you the trouble, of having a Reminder form delivered.
