Service Description: Courses of swimming lessons are run across all three of our swimming pools; Medina, Heights and Waterside and follow a national teaching plan. They are for children aged four and over and cover a range of different abilities ranging from absolute beginners to pre-competition levels. We also run swimming courses for adults, who have never got around to learning to swim or wish to improve. Whatever your age or ability, we have a course that will be of benefit to you. Answer: Children who are Isle of Wight residents can swim free at the Council-operated pools, A junior registration card is required and this is issued at the following centres. - The Heights, Sandown, Medina Leisure Centre, Newport. (Terms and conditions apply) The offer is also available at West Wight Sports Centre in Freshwater (For details of the West Wight scheme phone 752168). Waterside Pool do not offer free junior swimming.
