Service Description: Supporting People is a government programme that gives money to housing-related support services to help you live independently in your community. If you think you need housing-related support, you should talk to your care manager, social worker, mental health worker, probation officer or housing officer and they will carry out an assessment. If you do not have one of these you can contact either Adults First Response Team or Housing Services.
Also known as:- Help with claiming benefits, Help with dealing with professionals, Help with learning domestic and/or social skills, Help with managing your money, Help with personal safety in the home, Help with security of your home, Housing-related support
Answer: Firstly you should speak to your support worker to try and sort out the problem. If that does not work or you do not feel able to talk to them about it you should contact the support provider. The provider should have given you a copy of their complaints procedure. If you need to take further action you should contact the Supporting People Team on 01983 823345. They will look into the complaint and do their best to sort it out and will respond within 3 working days. If you are still not satisfied, there are further actions you can take, full details of which are available in our Supporting People Leaflet. - Related Link
