Answer: Electoral Services can provide written proof that an individual has an entry on the Register of Electors. To comply with the Data Protection Act the applicant has to write a letter to Electoral Services, County Hall, Newport, Isle Of Wight, PO30 1UD giving their full name and address, and stating that they would like confirmation of their entry on the Register. The letter must be signed by the applicant, and a fee of £10 enclosed - cheques payable to "Isle Of Wight Council". The confirmation is usually sent within one working day of receipt, to the address at which the applicant is registered.
