Your FAQ

Question: My property is within a Conservation Area. Can I change my windows?

Answer: Whether or not you can change your windows depends on the individual circumstances of the property. If your property is a house and it is not listed, then yes you can. If it is a flat or some other kind of use, you may need Planning Permission.

You are advised to contact the Conservation & Design Team for a definitive answer. You can do this by writing directly to the department, by e-mailing [email protected], or by telephoning (01983) 823552.

Note: Consent will also be required under the Building Regulations. - Related Link
