Your FAQ

Question: What is Arts Development at IWC?

Answer: The Isle of Wight Arts Service was set up in 1995, with the aim of ensuring the arts play a key and dynamic role in enhancing the quality of people's lives. Arts development at the Isle of Wight Council currently includes a commissioning agreement with local arts organisations to provide many of our targets, such as increasing participation, focus on young people, children and parents, and on broadening the Arts on the Island to include new and innovative art forms and delivery. The small in-house service currently focuses on developing opportunities for young people, working with the library service and across sectors, as well as facilitating wider arts opportunities.
