Service Description: Swimming is an excellent form of exercise, a great way of keeping in shape and is available to everybody. Cultural and Leisure Services operate and run three swimming pools on the Island that are open seven days a week, being Medina at Newport and the Heights in Sandown. Waterside Pool is now managed by the Waterside Community Trust, they can be contacted on 01983 563656.

Answer: Children who are Isle of Wight residents can swim free at the Council-operated pools, A junior registration card is required and this is issued at the following centres. - The Heights, Sandown, Medina Leisure Centre, Newport. (Terms and conditions apply) The offer is also available at West Wight Sports Centre in Freshwater (For details of the West Wight scheme phone 752168). Waterside Pool do not offer free junior swimming.
