Question: Does the Council collect garden waste?

Answer: Garden waste will be collected from your property on the same day as your black bag collections if you place it out for collection in the Island Waste marked pre-paid sacks. The sacks cost £1.30 each. You can call Island Waste Services on 0800 328 3851and order 5 or more and they will be delivered to your house. Alternatively, they can be purchased from the following locations:
BRADING Post Office;
COWES Library;
FRESHWATER Help Centre (in Freshwater Library), School Green Road;
NEWPORT Help Centre, County Hall, High Street;
NEWPORT Island Waste Services, Forest Park, Forest Road;
NEWPORT Lord Louis Library, Orchard Street;
RYDE Help Centre (In Ryde Library), George Street;
ST LAWRENCE Post Office;
VENTNOR Library
WOOTTON Community Shop;
Garden waste can be taken to any of the Civic Amenity Sites and deposited without charge. If you place garden waste out for collection in any sack other than the pre-paid sacks, it will not be collected. - Related Link
