Answer: The permitted hours (guidance only) for working on building sites are: Monday - Friday 8.00am - 6.00pm Saturday 8.00am - 4.00pm Sundays, Public and Bank Holidays - no working. In exceptional circumstances these hours may be extended, for example: 1. Emergency Works 2. Works required for immediate Health & Safety reasons. 3. Works which are likely to cause major disruption to traffic, and where the police or the Council's highways officers decide they should take place at night or at a weekend.
