Your FAQ

Question: The roots/branches of a tree on my neighbours property are damaging/overhanging my property, what can I do?

Answer: If you want to do works to trees which overhang your property you should first establish if the tree is protected. If the tree is protected you will need the permission of the Council before any work can commence (there is no charge for this service).

Before working on any overhanging tree or hedge, it would be a good idea to contact the owner and make sure they know you are going to do the work. It will almost always be easier if you can co-operate with them.

Further, more detailed information, is available on the Tree Team website (www.iwight.com/trees). - Related Link
