Fostering


Service Description: Fostering is substitute family care for children and young people who, for a variety of reasons, are unable to live with their own families. Services available via the Fostering Service are Long Term Fostering, Short Term Fostering, Respite Care, Day Care Providers, Family Link and Combined Accomodation Scheme (CAS). The service currently consists of 3 Units and a Fostering Duty Worker.

Question: How do I become a foster carer?

Answer: If you are interested in becoming a foster carer please contact our Duty Worker on 01983 525790 and we will send you an information pack. If you then wish to proceed, we will arrange for a Social Worker to visit you to discuss fostering in more detail. - Related Link
