Service Description: The Local Authority Speech and Language Therapy Service is currently undergoing alignment with the NHS Speech and Language Therapy Service at St Mary's Hospital. The joint Service aims to provide an evidence based service for all school aged children on the Isle of Wight to achieve their full potential in speech, language and communication skills. The aim is to work in partnership with families and professionals to inspire and empower both individual and groups of children to take an active role in developing their speech, language and communication skills in order to become positive and effective communicators.

Answer: The Service provides Speech and Language Therapy intervention and support from Speech and Language Therapists (SLT) and Speech and Language Therapy Assistants (SLTAs) for pupils with speech, language and communication difficulties.
