Answer: As well as keeping the children comfortable and occupied between working periods, the matron (chaperone)’s duties involves: - monitoring and recording all the times that the children are working, having a break or having lessons - ensuring suitable travel arrangements are in place - a child is collected by the person previously agreed - keeping a complete register if the children with emergency contact numbers.
