Road Markings and Signage - Yellow Lines


Service Description: The Local Authority authorise yellow lines road marking where there is a need to restrict parking to help increase traffic flow and to prevent obstructions on the highway.

Question: How do I request yellow lines?

Answer: The Isle of Wight Council currently has an embargo on the introduction of any new parking restrictions unless deemed essential on road safety grounds and supported by the Police. However, if you still wish to request restrictions, please put your request in writing with:- an explanation of why you want the lines - a description of where you want the lines (name of road, junction, town) - an supporting evidence. Please address your request to Team Leader (Traffic Management).
