Benefits - Reporting A Change of Circumstances


Service Description: Your Housing and/or Council Tax Benefit has been assessed on the information you have supplied. If your circumstances change, you must tell us as it may affect the amount of benefit you are entitled to. We will recalculate your entitlement and notify you of the outcome. You must report all changes for you and your partner (if you have one) and anyone else living with you, within 4 weeks of the change. You will need to provide documentary evidence of the changes.

Question: I have had a change in my circumstances, what do I do?

Answer: You need to write to the Revenues and Benefits Service, Civic Centre, Sandown, PO36 9EA, advising them of the change of circumstances. You must tell them within one month of the change and you must provide proof of the change (eg. wage slips, pension details).
