Service Description: A sheltered Housing scheme is made up of a group of unfurnished properties specially built or adapted for disabled people. It is not an elderly peoples home.

Question: What is sheltered accommodation?

Answer: Sheltered accommodation is self contained accommodation where some support is provided by a warden or manager. Accommodation is usually within a housing complex and might include communal facilities such as a residents’ lounge or laundry room. Residents usually need to be of pensionable age.
