Service Description: This Service is responsible for fulfilling statutory responsibilities of the Local Authority in respect of school enrolment, attendance, exclusions and juvenile employment. Question: Do you need a permit to work in TV or theatre?

Answer: All children below statutory school leaving age, including those who have not yet started compulsory schooling, require a licence to perform in entertainment. Note that this includes photographic and live ‘modelling’. To obtain a licence application and further information please contact Education Welfare.
