Adult Social Care Finance


Service Description: The Adult Finance pages provide information about the costs and any contributions you may have to make for any services received through Adult Social Care. Each person is assessed on an individual basis to determine their contribution. Some people may have a minimal amount to pay and some people may have to pay the full amount. For those people that have to fund their own care and support we have included a page providing information, advice and support from external organisations.

Question: What papers will the Visiting Officer need to see when calculating my income and savings?

Answer: It would be helpful if you could have the following information available for the Visiting Finance Officer:

Income
- National Insurance Number
- Benefit information e.g. State Pension, Income Support, Wages etc.
- Notification of Private (Occupational) Pension

Savings
- Building Society books
- Bank Statements
- Details of stocks and shares e.g. TESSA, PEP, ISA etc.
- Any other financial investment

Expenditure
- Rent / Mortgage details
- Council Tax
- Extra costs of disability
