Your FAQ

Question: Will my child be insured, if they have an accident whilst at their work experience placement?

Answer: Yes, employers taking part are required to sign a certificate stating that they have a current insurance policy, including public liability, which should provide adequate insurance cover for accidents caused as a result of negligence on their part.

Other cover is provided by the Council’s insurance policy which applies to all educational activities. Additional personal accident cover to a capital sum of £5,000 has been arranged for all pupils to cover their own negligence whilst engaged on work experience projects.
