Educational Psychology Service

Service Description: The Educational Psychology Service is currently being provided in conjunction with Southampton City Council Psychology Service to provide cover for statutory work and cases involving safeguarding. Requests for EPS involvement need to be within this context and should be made via school in liaison with parents, providing comprehensive evidence to support the referral. Statutory assessment is intended for those children with the most severe, complex and long-term special educational needs. Schools provide evidence of severity of need to the Local Authority SEN Panel - the evidence needs to include an EP assessment undertaken within the year prior to the request.

Your FAQ

Question: What is Psychology?

Answer: Psychology is about how people think, feel and behave. As educational psychologists, we try to understand how children develop their ideas and skills as they grow up. - Related Link
