Service Description: Parking Services deal with parking enforcement issues over the Island including pay and display locations and on street parking contraventions. Priority areas are usually those where illegally parked vehicles cause safety issues, congestion and also slow down other road users. Parking services also deal with a variety of parking permits for various schemes over the Island.

Answer: There is no permit scheme as such that allows parking on yellow lines. However, you may apply for a Parking Dispensation for a location where alternative arrangements cannot be made for the following principal reasons: Loading/Unloading where this activity is either normally prohibited or the permitted period is insufficient, or situations where alternative arrangements would be unsatisfactory. A dispensation does not permit ‘general’ parking’. It does not allow the vehicle to remain in the restricted/prohibited area once the dispensation purpose has been fulfilled. Dispensations are charged at £15 per vehicle per day.
