Your FAQ

Question: How will I know my child is receiving good care ?

Answer: We will check that the Residential Home or School is registered with the National Care Standards Commission to ensure they conform to regulations and standards.

All registered Homes and Schools have to meet national minimum standards in terms of planning, quality of care, complaints and protection, care and control, the environment, staffing and management and administration

If your child is Looked After, the allocated Social Worker has a responsibility to visit the home at least once every 3 months. If your child is placed in Residential School by the Local Education Authority there is an annual Review to consider the progress your child is making.
